Equine Veterinary Service offers 24-hour continuous care for critically ill or injured, emergency and urgent care equine patients. The service is overseen by specialists in equine surgery, equine emergency/critical care, and equine internal medicine. 

Some of the conditions we treat include:

• Acute respiratory conditions
• Colic (abdominal pain indicated by pawing, rolling, or overall indications of pain) {excluding surgery}
• Choking
• Colitis
• Dystocia (abnormal or difficult birthing)
• Epistaxis (bleeding from the nose)
• Exertional rhabdomyolysis (“tying up”)
• Eye or head trauma
• Fracture
• Neonatal emergencies
• Serious laceration of the limb or body
• Snake bite
• Trauma
